Fintech Fund

Joe Armao is the Portfolio Manager of the Galaxy Fintech Fund. He brings over 15 years of buy-side investing experience spanning public, private, equity, credit, and token investing. Prior to Galaxy, Joe worked at Senator Investment Group where he served as Fintech Sector Head and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Strategic Resources Fund. He also managed a digital asset strategy and a number of private fintech investments in growth-stage companies, including multiple board seats. Previously, Joe worked at Blackstone Strycker View Capital, a financial sector hedge fund, and began his career with Blackstone Strategic Capital Group focused on seed and GP investments. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics, and an Honors thesis in Game Theory. He is a New York Board member of Music Will, a national charitable organization dedicated to music education.

Will Trepp brings a decade of investing experience in financial services spanning public, private, long/short equity, credit, and token investing. Prior to Galaxy, Will was an analyst at JAT Capital focusing on fintech. For the past five years, he has partnered closely with Joe Armao on a range of public and private investments. Previously, Will was a public equities and crossover investor at Standard Investments, where he covered financial services and fintech. Will began his investment career at Blackstone focused on credit and special situations investment opportunities with an emphasis on financial services. He also worked as an investment banker at Bank of America in the Financials Institutions Group. Will received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Vanderbilt University.

James Henick is the Head Trader for the Galaxy Fintech Fund. James has spent the past five years at Galaxy Asset Management leading trading and execution strategy across liquid tokens, public equities, derivatives, and opportunistic mandates, playing a key role in developing cross-asset trading capabilities and supporting investment decisions. Prior to Galaxy, James worked at Societe Generale as a trader on the Delta One and Equity Finance desk. James holds a B.A. in Economics from New York University.

Brooke Kilgallen, CFA is a Managing Director focused on capital formation at Galaxy. She leads investor engagement for alternative products within the firm’s asset management platform. Brooke brings over a decade of experience in investor relations and capital raising. Prior to joining Galaxy, she led capital formation at TQ Ventures and previously served as Head of Business Development and Investor Relations at Armistice Capital, a healthcare-focused hedge fund. Earlier in her career, she was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where she covered institutional investors for equity sales and trading. Brooke is a CFA Charterholder and began her career in finance in 2011. She holds a B.B.A. with a double major in Finance and Economics from James Madison University.
